Warranty
What's covered by manufacturer and workmanship warranties, how to make a claim, and how the Australian Consumer Law applies alongside them.

Manufacturer Warranties
Solar panels, inverters and batteries are supplied with the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product model, and will be provided with your quotation and system documentation.
Warranty periods, what they cover and how to make a claim differ between brands and even between models from the same brand. We do not summarise these into a single headline number, because that would be inaccurate for at least some of the equipment we supply.
Workmanship Warranty
Where Smile Solar provides an additional workmanship warranty, the scope and terms will be provided in writing, and it covers the matters specifically described in those written terms. We do not describe our workmanship warranty as covering everything, and we won't tell you it does — the written terms are what applies.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim:
- Contact us at info@smilesolar.com.au or 1300 301 908, with your name, address and a description of the issue.
- Have your system documentation and quotation available if possible — it lists the equipment installed and the warranties that apply.
- We will assist with the manufacturer warranty process where the issue relates to a product defect, or address the issue directly where it relates to workmanship.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with consumer guarantee rights that cannot be excluded or restricted under the Australian Consumer Law. Any manufacturer or workmanship warranty we provide operates in addition to, and does not replace, those rights.
