System Sizes

A starting point for sizing your system

These are common system sizes, not packages or prices. Your actual system size and cost are confirmed in your written quotation after a site assessment.

Installation Standards

The install matters as much as the hardware

A quality panel with a rushed installation is a poor outcome. These are the standards every Smile Solar job is held to:

  • Installation carried out through appropriately licensed and accredited professionals
  • Mounting and electrical work completed to applicable Australian Standards
  • Battery installations designed to comply with the applicable version of AS/NZS 5139 and NSW requirements
  • Battery location assessed before installation for clearance, access and safety requirements
  • System commissioning, safety testing and a plain-English handover
  • System documentation provided on completion

Warranties

What's actually covered, in writing

Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product model. We provide the applicable terms with your quotation rather than headline numbers.

Manufacturer Warranties

Solar panels, inverters and batteries are supplied with the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Terms vary by manufacturer and product model.

Workmanship Warranty

Where Smile Solar provides an additional workmanship warranty, the scope and terms are provided in writing, and it covers the matters specifically described in those terms.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services come with consumer guarantee rights that cannot be excluded or restricted. Any warranty we provide operates in addition to those rights.

Common Questions

Solar questions, answered honestly

The things NSW solar buyers ask us most — answered without the sales spin.

There is no single figure that applies to every household, and we won't quote one. Solar and battery storage can help reduce the amount of electricity you purchase from the grid, but your actual savings depend on your electricity consumption, tariff, solar generation, battery usage, feed-in tariff, export limits, system size and other factors. As part of your assessment we prepare an estimate using your own usage and tariff, and we show you the assumptions behind it. Savings estimates are not guaranteed and actual results may vary.
